POSTPARTUM
Postpartum is an important time after a baby is born, filled with physical and emotional changes for new parents. The body starts to heal, hormone levels shift, and adjusting to parenthood can be both joyful and challenging. Knowing about postpartum care and support can help during this transition. It’s vital to practice self-care, ask for help when needed, and find resources that promote well-being for both parents and the baby. Recognizing the challenges of this time can lead to a healthier postpartum experience.
What postpartum care do I provide?
Every postpartum journey is different. We will tailor your care to best fit your needs. Here are some things that this might consist of:
Beginning with a free phone consultation to discuss the support you are looking for in your first 3 weeks postpartum.
Sitting and talking through your birth story.
Working through your feelings of postpartum both physically and mentally.
Listening as you navigate forming your parenting style.
Offering informational support with your own healing and caring for your baby.
Helping with latching your baby if you are breastfeeding.
Caring for your newborn while you shower and/or nap.
Preparing snacks or light meal prep and light housekeeping such as dishes and laundry.
Teaching you some infant massage for you to massage your little one.

Infant massage is a gentle, nurturing technique that involves stroking and manipulating a baby's muscles using specific movements. There are endless benefits including bonding, reducing stress and anxiety, leading to improved sleep, help with gas and digestion, improved blood flow and overall body awareness.
I am certified in teaching infant massage! Together we can see the benefits for you and your baby.

One of the most important things in the beginning of your breastfeeding journey is having continual support sitting next to you! After breastfeeding all five of my babies and sitting with countless moms as they learn the art of breastfeeding, I know how helpful it is to have someone work through the ups and downs of learning to feed your baby.
